Ah yes - rumours weren't really hard to spread around. Lies spread faster than wildfire around the school, and [Name] could probably guess that every student had heard the rumour. Some looked at her with such pity, and some just didn't care. Or - maybe they just didn't want to be part of it.

“This is.. insufferable. Truly. This has gone mad, I say. Arthur! Are you even listening?”

“With all due respect,” Arthur said as he flipped the page of his current new book. “I think you should just ignore them. They are just rumours, after all. Nothing more. What could possibly go wrong, [Name]? Honestly, you worry too much. Surely, it will calm down soon enough. Give it a few weeks - or maybe even days. Rumours don't last forever.”

“But.. have you seen the look other students gave me? Some look down upon me! And as a fair Ravenclaw, that is completely unacceptable. Never shall I be looked down upon on!” [Name] frowned at her own statement. Oh, who were she kidding? She was completely helpless. Lost. She couldn't do anything to stop the rumours - nothing.

“What other people think you did is completely false, [Name].” Arthur commented, closing his book and setting it beside him. “You should know that. You and I know what really did happen. And people are only blaming you because they're frightened.”

“That.. wasn't helpful at all. It just means that they're scared of me. They find me intimidating, then..”

“And there's something wrong with that?” Arthur smirked smugly towards [Name] and she only rolled her eyes at it. He can be so.. Well, [Name] couldn't really describe him, actually. Though, she was sure it was between 'annoying' and 'modest'. “It's better to be feared than to be loved, [Name]. Soon, you will understand. Once your older, maybe.”

“I strongly disagree with that..” [Name] furrowed her brows. How was being feared better than to be loved? She didn't understand the concept at all. Being feared.. will only leave you to isolation; or at least that's what she thought. And being loved.. you have your friends, family, people who are close and dear to you.

Arthur stood up and brushed the dirt off from his pants. “You're too young to understand, [Name]. Now, come along. Class is almost starting. We wouldn't want to be late now, do we?”

“I don't want to go, Arthur.” Of course, she didn't. She would only hear those rumours yet again, and it will distract her from work. She didn't want to see the glares of other students as well. And what will her other friends think of her? This was all too troublesome..

“That's not really the [Name] I once knew. Where is she? Where's the cheery, optimistic, [Name]? What happened to her creativity and her pride?” The younger female raised a brow at Arthur's words. Or was it supposed to be a pep-talk? Whatever it was, it surely was odd and bizarre. However, it did put a smile on her face.

“Arthur, that was the most terrible encouragement I have ever heard.” She chuckled and shrugged his shoulders loosely. “Though, it did help.”

He smiled slightly at her words and brought a hand towards her. “May I have the honor to escort Lady [Surname] to her next class, then?”

[Name] once again rolled her eyes but smiled towards at him. “You may.”

She was glad to have a friend like Arthur. Because even with the worst situations happening, Arthur seemed to be always there where she needed him the most. And she was happy to truly have a friend like him.
