Acrylic on Canvas 9"x7"I used to love it when our old 'corner store' would get those 'Monster Weirdo' Bubble Gum Cards in (which was sadly very rare). Those things were the first images to start twisting my little brain ... Then 'Ed Roth' got in there & really messed me up ... lol

Very awesome, I love the idea of just walking around the corner of my local convenience store and seeing some big freako in a cowboy hat riding one of the 50 cent mechanical ponies haha

It's a monkey wearing a jockey's outfit, and it looks lilke he's riding a bunch of bananas.
And the monkey looks really weird.

Ed Roth & Stanley Mouse were kind of the originators of the Weirdo/Fink/Monster guys... That was over 40 years ago... many artists since then have adopted the style (Williams, Newt, Von Franco, Pizz, Coop, XNO... etc. etc. the list truly just goes on & on)

you should give him a story all of his own... like write a little graphic novel with flying eyeballs and other fun squishey things...

This is soooo cute and creepy at the same time! Has a really cool vintage look to it like it should be painted on a wooden sign outside of a circus freak show.hahaha I think I rode one of these horsies at the grocers when I was about 5 years old. WhaaaHoooo Ride Em Cowboy!!!!! D
