This really makes this version of Ghidorah the best incarnation of the character.

That could be a big possibility. I mean it's still possible that he did regenerate his head that Godzilla bit off. And the craziest thing that happened that he can still survive by just being a head (middle head only), which means he doesn't need a body or a heart to regenerate. He only needs the brain. It hard for him to do that as the left head. Or better yet, Jonah will regenerate Ghidorah's body as possible and whatever doesn't come back, add some technology to create MKG (it'll take years for that to be finish).

But then D Man1954's other theory is kinda interesting, since he mentioned the Oxygen Destroyer combined with Ghidorah's head would create a brand new monster.

The interactions the heads have with each other is honestly one of my favorite parts of King Ghidorah aside from how scary and awesome he was.
