The grammatically correct thing for your line would be: "She is the captain of a student council." or "She is the captain of the student council.".

Your line is basically correct it just needed some conjunction or however it is called. xD

uhm, on Japanese the definition is(used the translation i gave you): "接続詞の言葉、言語余分な要素（通常は1つまたは2つの単語）の種類の固定されています。個々の単語、単語や文章のグループの相互接続を提供しています。 "
