"...The girl found it odd that the park was so empty. Usually at lunch time, this park was full of students and workers from the nearby office buildings taking a much needed break. But now, it was completely still and quiet. The only sounds she heard were hungry birds chirping and the buzzing of the tiny bugs nearby. Nobody was answering her texts and her instagram feed was unusually dead. Nevertheless, she continued on with her business, completely unaware of the ant-sized people at her feet, trying desperately to get her attention. Despite their best efforts, most were smashed beneath her massive Converse with a subtle shift of her foot, their bodies smeared into nothingness between the rubber of her sole and the jagged sidewalk. Others made it further, scaling her titanic legs, only to be brushed away to their deaths by a sweep of her massive hand of the flick of her colossal finger. They had clearly gotten her attention, but it was the same level of attention she would offer a tiny ant if caught in a similar situation: certain death. Unable to distinguish their miniature human forms from that of insignificant bugs, their hopes of survival were slim to none..."
