Hi, thanks for the fave btw. I hope the redline helped in some way. I think I missed out on giving proper feedback on my deviation so here goes:
The pose is actually really neat. Hips and shoulders are tilted opposite ways, which makes it quite dynamic despite facing straight towards the viewer.
I have a strong suspicion that your sketch looked livelier than the finished product (it usually does) and I think you should work messier/sketchier, because as the pose looks good, yet your lines are very restrictive and don't quite follow the actual anatomy (the nose is very basic; the breasts are way different; no armpits, no collar bones...) .
Therefore it seems to me that you understand human anatomy quite well and judging from your gallery you have a great sense of composition, but cannot transfer it to the medium i.e. SAI, Photoshop or whatever program you are using.
In short:
+++ Overall effect --> Pose, composition, colour scheme
- - - Technique --> Line weight, line quality, shading - Though I think this is partially a hardware/software-problem. You might want to check up on tutorials regarding the program you're using or consider using another program. Also play with your hardware (tablet settings) and software settings (brush dynamics, density, edge hardness, layer modes, etc.) to get a feel for it and find a combination and method that works for you.

This is cool! I love the texture/patterning, the only thing i can suggest for highlighting/shading is that experimenting with brush types and settings and finding the right one for you really helps with developing a technique.

Thank you! (and ty so much for the watch )
Yeah I thought about finding a mix between airbrush and watercolor
As said it was my first attempt so it can only get better, right?

Hey!
Dropping by from :iconprojectcomment: and hopefully with some helpful ideas.
All in all the impact of the picture is good. The anatomy looks right and the pose has some relaxed grace to it. Very Kerrigan-like So in my opinion the basic sketch is very good!
I also like the face, but the smile is maybe a bit too nice. More like beauty shot, less like the killing machine queen
So my critique will be mainly on the color.
First off, try to add some depth to the background, nothing elaborate, more like in here:
www.artstation.com/artwork/9Ey…
This will also help you to fix the light source (direction, temperature etc.), which is at the moment a bit indefinite and diffuse. The light can be like in your picture on a cloudy day, but such light flattens the image as you can not play with deep shadows and bright highlights.
In my opinion (and I am by no means an expert) the texture needs more definition. Even though you work with airbrushes don't shy away from hard edges, you need them! You can use multiple types of brushes in one picture, pick at least one hard (but don't go berzerk with it ).
Keeping the outlines is a very interesting decision, but it is hard to get it working. You can look up wallpapers for GTA5, they use this kind of style and they know how to do it right (I don't, wich I would.... so, can't help you with this ).
Some minor things: you might add some highlights to the hair to give them a bit more definition; maybe out one heel down, on the right side probably to keep the hip in the same position.
But don't get me wrong, the picture is really good, you just need some more practice

Thank you very much but the character design isn't mine, Kerrigan belongs to Blizzard.

This is quite good, but I feel like you could really improve on the colouring, as it looks rather rough.
