Sooooo....

The story in my head goes:

It's Christmas time and as a special gift, Jacob packed Nessie in the car and drove her down to Portland on a day trip. He took her shopping and bought her a pretty new dress and new shoes and at night he took her to see The Nutcracker. She loved every second of it, but the second act went a little late and she fell asleep as Jacob carried her to the car. She had been talking to him in her "special way" and fell asleep mid-conversation. With her hand still on his neck, he was able to read her dreams and they were filled with sugar plum fairies...

Nessie is probably aged around 6 or 7 in this picture, maybe a little older.

*ahem*

Ever since I was two years old, my mom and grandma have taken me to see The Nutcracker. Every year. Apparently, my mom thought I was going to fall asleep, but I barely blinked, I was so entranced by the beautiful ballerinas on stage. The only times we didn't go were when I lived in Holland for a couple years, one year they didn't come, one year something behind stage caught fire and the costumes were soaked and once more when they changed the format of the play and it wasn't as good as the one I had grown up with. I have also missed it the last couple of years and will be missing it again this year. I look forward to the day I can take my kids to see it!

If you have not seen The Nutcracker ballet (movies don't count), you MUST see it at least once in your life! It's magical. You will never forget it!

Anyway, I was forced to give Jacob a shirt and some slacks due to the dress code of the theatre, lol!

Jacob Black and Renesmee Cullen are from Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, by Stephenie Meyer. Pick them up if you have not yet, they're really good!

Edit: By the way, her legs and feet are not freakishly pale and toe-less... they are tights! Ta!
