a.k.a. "The Tree of Souls," second in my series "A Magickal Arboretum: Strange Specimens of the Fantastical Forest"And my entry for the "We Miss You Contest II" by
This was first inspired by the Rumi poem and how important it is to take a holistic approach to life, to take the good with the bad, the happy with the sad, the growth with decay and death. After all, what is the sound of one hand clapping?
And yeah, I was reminded of that philosophy when I spilt my entire bottle of blue ink all over the nearly-finished painting...can you tell? Oh well, it turned out okay.
Winged souls alight on its boughs,
And its roots drink the milk of the stars,
In the spark of its birth lays the vestige of death,
And shoots of green burgeon from its sylvan scars.
She hears the music in the tangle and decay,
She hears the timbered echoes rippling through time,
She sees his face in the stellar shadows, in the loamy skies,
She knew before she was born they would meet in the climb.

The way the art itself flows with such a formality that causes passion to overflow through my body when I see this...it's breath taking...Well done indeed and this was without a doubt considered as "Art". Not to mention overall it's such a wonderful inspiration this drawing gives me! So detailed along with a great moral sense of value, delightful scenery added with details beyond mere words! I truly value this a lot, very well expressed and high quality into the characters themselves. Even an interesting touch of some vivid coloring.
