Description
Self-portrait for college, finished at about 5am on the day it was due
Will be exhibited along with the rest of the first-year portraits soon...ish. I think.Here's the work in progress [link]
I think this looks better in the flesh; was quite a poor photograph so I had to edit the darkness a little.

I am so confused but i gotta know.
Okay so i was first confused cuz this said self portait. -looks at picture of two dogs fighting all confused like-
Then i tried to squint and see if maybe the shape of the dogs made a pic of a human face but nothing.
Then i noticed the hand, i thought maybe it was the brown dog's owner trying to pull him out of the fight.
Till i saw the huskey's extra eye. O__o Then i realized the arm belonged to the husky.
Then i noticed something shaped like a human skull faded in the same place the brown dogs head is.
Another person?
So im assuming the husky is you since hes facing the viewer, and the other dog another person fighting eachother?
Plz point out anything i missed. Especially human features.

Thank you for taking the time to really look at this painting
The concept of this piece is a self-portrait in which I portray myself as an action; and event rather than simply a face. I chose to represent myself as a fight, because I often have conflicting emotions and find it hard to make decisions. Each of the dogs in the painting therefore has suggestions of human features; the brown dog has, as you rightly pointed out, the faded shape of a human skull, and the other dog has an extra pair of human eyes, and a hand.
I also wanted the dog that is being pinned down to seem more vicious, as our more aggressive and primitive sides are often suppressed.

Thisisincredible. Like, wow. It looks almost soft like chalk pastels instead of paint. Is it water colour? I can't get over this; it's amazing all around. I hope you get excellent marks for this, because it deserves nothing less.
