I had done this sketch many years ago, and she finally talked me into finishing her. I don't know much about this lady other than she is made up of wind and rain, instinct and wildness. She is the moon and storms and stars, and she speaks the language of butterflies. What does she say to you?Watercolor and colored pencil on 9 X 12 smooth Bristol paper. 2016.

The wisdom of nature can be found in every soul,
to listen to the inner voice would bring you towards this goal,
she has inherited the knowlege from her ancestors so far back in time,
she hears the sounds of the spirits, like chants and chimes.

Initially looking at the Picture, she did not speak to me at all. It was only when I read the description and looked upon the drawing again with the question "What doe she say to you?", that I began to feel something.
IΒ wasΒ overflown with emotions from looking at it with so many interpretations. The summary of it all would be "Come." but there is a stronger tone of something else she is saying, more than every other message, but I cannot quite grasp it.

To me, she speaks of the veil between human and animal, and that sometimes, when you don't even realize it, you're looking at something different than what you expect. It took me a bit to actually notice the ghostly muzzle and ears, and the more I look, the more I see. She tells me to look closer, like I would look at a set of deer tracks to see more details the longer I look, and that there is a hint of the wildness in everyone. It's like looking at a vision of myself, but also of everyone. I look up at the moon, and I see her. I don't know what exactly made me think of that, but it's still pretty amazing to look at. Great work as always, Goldie. Thanks for making me do a bit of deep thinking.
