Foxes have always seemed so Fae to me, so naturally I had to do a fae fox. I wish the drawing was better because the colors rock!©2001 colored pencil on Bristol paper.

Foxes and fey together make perfect sense. ^^ The celts saw the fox as a creature with one foot in the faerie world, since they were always seen in the twilight hours when it was believed that they faeries came out. (It was also thought that foxes could lead a person into the faerie world.)
Hisotry/mythology aside, she is just stunning! I so dearly love your work. ^^

This reminds me of the "kitterwings" from Furcadia. >.> <.< Please don't shoot me for saying that. It's completely awesome and I think the expression is very fox-like. And the colors are wonderful. I have loved this one from afar for so long - I am such a nerd. You have no idea how many times I studied this one, and tried and tried again to practice and recreate it myself.
(I wish I could say that the practice has paid off but, heh, well, I guess there's just something to be said for plain old talent.)
