Happy New Year everyone!First deviation of the year and it's an art trade with furtivefriday
Haikyuu!! is the fandom I chose because with the 4th season right around the corner, the hype is strong-// the theme was to draw our pairs in formal clothing and OF COURSE I HAD TO DRAW THEM DANCING because I wanted to draw catboi learning ballroom dancing from his beautiful girlfriend they're the same height because I feel like Komiya would unconsciously start dancing on her toes since she's used to it? Komiya's dress was inspired by a fancy dress that was suggested by Pinterest and I had so much fun with it I added my own touches too-- and I think I went overboard with the sparkles-// Fukunaga was much easier to draw than I thought but I recoloured his suit thrice; I asked a friend which one looked best out of the three to post :'D

Like HOLY CRAP I can't even ghzkdgfivbuitk This is so frigging PRETTY and CUTE and OMG they're dancing(!!!). It's so friggin adorable I can't!! QAQ Whether Fukunaga is into dancing or not I cannot describe how much it would mean for Komiya that he'd try ballroom dancing with her. And YES, going up on her toes without even thinking about it is something she'd totally do! xD
And their OUTFITS!! They look so GOOD!! They're matching and contrasting each other as the same time (blue/red) and their little matching details like his lil belt and tie and her flower and their HAIR is so pretty and the shading Imma gonna cry TAT *has no idea what to do with all these feelings*

Yes they are! I decided to draw them dancing when I was looking at poses and I came across this one ballroom dance pose AND I COULD SEE THESE TWO IN IT so I settled on that 8D I feel like Fukunaga is the type of person who would try to take an interest in what his partner likes? I had that idea in my head while drawing this xD I knew it, since she's so used to it she would do it without realising xD
Yes, I tried to keep in mind that they would colour coordinate a little (with the tie/belt and her flower) and in the end blue was the winner of the three LOL I loved working on their hair, trying to figure out what Komiya's hair looks like in that angle was kind of challenging xD but I had so much fun colouring it give those feelings to me I'll cherish them forever TvT <33

(Kai didn't actually get reprimanded or tossed out a window, but Fukunaga did give Kai some scrub/weakest-ass kicks you've ever seen (because he still cinnamon roll, don't wanna hurt Kai) to the shins, so close enough. The table thing happened though.)
You did such a good job! I agree that I think the blue suit is the best looking (I think that it's the contrast of a cold color (blue) against a warm one (red), but I've already saved the other two anyway.
