Here's another sketch I did for a book that's being written. I've been kind of enjoying these small sketches. Nice change of pace from the big detailed drawings. I might do one more small sketch and then I am going to start a big project again. Please keep in mind that this drawing is very small so I realize that the face isn't too detailed. The face is only about 1.5 inches tall. The whole drawing is unblended. Took me a couple hours.Related content

The only thing I notice is that the fingers on the hand are all different sizes, and the pinky looks like it is oddly bent, there's no joints. Just my opinion. But overall it's okay.

Yeah I know what you mean. The fingers are so small on this though, it's really hard to get any detail.

Thanks Craig. Well, the book is for a coarse called "Art Entrepreneurship" and it's very broad in the art field. This model that I've been drawing is a dancer/actress for the school I believe.

Yeah actually I was thinking about that too, I would defenitely draw a larger scale drawing of her. I'd have to get some more reference pictures though. I will ask her.

The drawing itself is awesome, Brian, but the girl....the girl needs to eat! Tell your model she needs to add some calories to her diet.

Ok, ok, cool. I don't know why I have golfiscool as mine. A couple years ago I went to a forum and it asked for a username so I just randomly chose one...I really like to play golf so I thought "golf is cool". Then it just stuck with me.

i used to draw small, and still do. Never made big, lets say A3 format paper art.

Thank you. Well, my last portrait of Armin Mersmann was 14"x20" (36x51cm) so this is dramatically smaller than that. But it's good practice.
