The shuttles look awesome. But isn't this a screenshot of a copyrighted film?

I mean, isn't this a picture taken from the film itself? If so, then it's not your art.

But I have a feeling that you might get reported for copyright infrigment. Anyways, nice video capture.

I see. Just to warn you, taking a copyrighted screenshot from a site that is also copyrighted, and putting it up here is against federal law. Even if you say it is not yours, the action of putting on this site still violates the copyright, and by uploading this, you imply it is yours.

i find slower than light starships fascinating
in a lot of scifi, here's FTL, but no one ever uses STL

Actually, its cruise speed is at 0.7c. It's not that much slower than light.

"Space is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly hugely mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space. [...] If you could imagine how big space is... You couldn't." - Douglas Adams, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Anyways, lightspeed isn't something to be taken lightly. You'd have to warp space or do something otherwise completely exotic to exceed it... Because you can't. You can be on Earth, and be 10 LY away 2 years later, but you can't go faster than light. Honestly I don't have enough suspension of disbelief to read Space Opera, fantasy I can do but it's different when it's just magic.
I mean, I might take it better if Space Opera authors even TRIED to make it sound possible and put some creativity into it, like, try to come up with something new other than a wormhole or another dimension where the speed of light is faster... 'Cause even then there are HUGE challenges to overcome in terms of getting speed. And if it's so far in the future that it's no big deal, then undoubtably it's so far in the future everything will seem magic... Then again I've never read most, so I don't really know
