What specie is this? I actually have pet crickets at my house. They actually make very good pets; I had low expectations of them when I first got them from a bait shop, but they laid eggs, died, and since the eggs hatched (about 6 months ago) I've been studying their behavior. They're amazing.

yeah... *embaressed* sorry for the rant- only, i have a gecko, which eats crickets, and i kinda sorta accidentaly left the cricket box open, and the horrid little thing crawled up my bed, and along the covers, towards me!
it spoke to me really- :chirp, chirp, CHIRRUP!

i think it was saying something along the lines of...

*YOU HAVE KILLED MY BRETHREN, YOU HAVE FFED THEM TO THE GREAT DEMON, "RICKY" YOU, SHAL PAAAAAY!*

...

and yes, i know i am way more bored then is healthy, and have gone completely off track. I'm good at that.

Ya , we had a some tree frogs that had to have crickets .
The problem was having to go back to pet-co for them each week.
So I finally went in and asked how they keep there crickets alive.
And I set up a ten gallon aquarium with cricket food and water bought 100 crickets . Before you know it (about 4 weeks )we had a 200+ at all times .
Don't forget to put the screened lid back on ....or it might be cricket pay back time heheh
