I am just thinking, can you go back if you like the idea and have some after dark shot...you know flashlight waving and highligh here and there on the body. Use more blue tone and leave a highlight orange to give an extra spookiness ...okay I stop now. I live far from this place (NSW Central coast) I would have a blast with this sceleton.

I have heard of the technique you are referring to but I have never tried it before...perhaps it's time I did...

It's in Margate QLD. It's only a few minutes drive from my home, but I didn't discover it until many years after I moved from VIC.

It's in such a wonderful state of decay, the rust that has eaten it looks as if it has sculptured a skeletal face screaming!

The angle makes it take on the traits of a sea creature. Great find/pic.

Is this the ship at Redcliff???
I plan on making a trip there this Thursday when I drop hubby off at the Brisbane Airport.
This photo is awesome with the angle you took it on.
It looks like one of those scary angler(?) fish!

Thanks! Yes it is the ship in Redcliffe. I've been there a few times now, it's nice to have something like it so close to home.

Thanks for that
I googled it & found it on my way back from the airport last Thursday.
I'm going to go back earlier in the day as it was about 9am when I got there.
Also, I noticed a pier or a bridge or something of the like.
I might have to make a trip with my sister =nutmeg-42 when she comes down in August.
She's coming in June, but we are going to the PSQ in Caboolture so we won't have time.
I also wanted to have a look at Hays Inlet & noticed on the map it was near the big long bridge, but I wasn't sure how to actually get there. Any clues???

You need to drive down "Haysmouth Parade, Clontarf QLD 4019" (Google map ref). Literally the street ends at the 'mouth' of Hays inlet. Just park your car there and wonder in! Ideally you would be there sometime near sunset; if so, there are fun times to be had, esp if the tide is in!
