Well there wasn't when I made the print.

I prefer the lost one. Then again, all I've seen is him, a bit of the 10th and eleventh.
Or, to put it in a more official way, 11th and 12th.

I think changing up their numbers now will just be confusing. For a while at least we should refer to them the old way and insert John Hurt as "The War Doctor".Β Otherwise we're all going to have some communication issues.
As for Matt Smith, I too am sorry to see him go. He was GREAT!Β

Hey, given that they don't remember his sa... SPOILERS!Β ...rey except for when they're together atΒ certain events, it would be easy to write around their canon and your head canon to make everything fit. Β That's the beauty of timey-wimey. Β It's easy to make it fit what you think it should.

I love how you do the Sixth. Interesting look for the Eighth... what made you decide to color his coat brown?

Gorpo In reply to JZLobo [2013-11-24 03:19:28 +0000 UTC]
His coat is black in the movie. But when I coloured it black it was too dark and the details were lost. I shaded it up a bit but it turned out brown rather than grey and at the time I didn't really notice.
I do, however, object to the common practice of colouring it green. Looks totally wrong to my eyes.

Actually it WAS green, a dark, dark hunter green. Trust me, I've done my research--McGann said as much when asked. It was just the odd studio lighting that made it look black in most shots.

Well, okay I'll trust you on that. But at no point in the film does it even slightly look green that I could tell (that is, without going back over it frame by frame and studying it which I don't have time for).

It's not horrible. It just has a couple of samples of lazy or dismissive writing.
If you've read the book, it corrects a lot of that crap and it's actually pretty good.
At best, it's a really good kick-off for what COULD have been one of the best seasons EVER.
At worst, it's better than most of what Colin Baker had to work with.

Okay fair enough. Although have you read the synopses for the episodes they had planned if the show had been green-lit? I don't think it would have turned out as well as you think.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Paul McGann (obviously) but... I'm glad things turned out the way they have, because the audioplays are fantastic. What did you think of Night of the Doctor?

Gorpo In reply to JZLobo [2013-11-25 10:27:55 +0000 UTC]
I have not. Where did you see those?
I LOVED Night of the Doctor. I was all set for some cheeseball Matt Smith (Not entirely a bad thing, since I do enjoy Matt Smith), but when he showed up I was floored and overjoyed.
Seeing Maren and the Sisterhood ofΒ Karn again was a thrill and his regeneration into John Hurt made me dismiss my initial grumblings about the whole War Doctor plot and reconsider my Doctor Who paradigm.

Somewhere on tumblr. I looked for it but can't seem to find it anymore. But the episode that stuck to memory the most was a remake of "The Gunfighers."

Have you seen the concept image of what the Daleks would have looked like in the 90s series? They would have gotten a complete revamp, very 90's looking. Hovering machines with several mechanical arms around them. Actually I can't help wondering in the flying war-Daleks in the 50th were a homage to that.

Not sure if I've seen the ones you're specifically talking about, but I've seen MANY alternate Dalek design proposals, most of them spidery. Have a cool one in a magazine somewhere with a neat black one with a cylon-like eye light too.
