well he is an excellent actor
But i was hoping for Viggo Mortensen, now that Eastwood is too old

Yes hard not to think of any other actor to play Roland than Eastwood.  Viggio would have been great fro sure.  Just to bad the film was lack luster.  It seemed to me like a quick summery of the book series.  not much story but the film looked great.  I read that it was meant to be a conclusion to the books and a TV series was to follow.

A well made series would be great, and do the Dark Tower universe some justice
But these days, I am beginning to think, they should just don't make the movie if all they plan to put in it is special effects...
