Description (Yes! finally got this one done)


So, with the recent reprinting of the Sailor Moon manga, I got hit with a huge wave of nostalgia and couldn't resist doing some art in honor of that. I the SenshixShitennou pairings A LOT, and thus decided to draw my personal favorite of said pairings: Makoto (aka Sailor Jupiter aka Lita in the English anime dub) and Nephrite

Drawing these two proved rather tricky, and it's mostly Nephrite's fault It was difficult to draw his long, flowy gorgeous hair AND his tall, broad-shouldered stature in a way that would 1) compliment his lovely lady and 2) make him recognizable. Darling, are you kidding me? As a person who has struggled drawing Neph in his...Nephi-ness, I have to say yours is amazing. He's so beautiful. I think they balance each other out quite nicely in this image, and I have to say I love the background as well.

Such lovely long tendrils of hair.

P.S. ~ If Eve-y's gonna steal Mako-chan, then Commander Saint Reginald Nephrite III is mine for the taking!

Many thanks for your kind comments! I'm glad you think they balance each other outI wasn't sure about how Neph and Mako-chan would look against the background, but now I actually quite like how it turned out.

You're not the only one who's enjoying the rerelease/reprint of Sailor Moon. I'm in chapter four of the first volume. Two more chapters until I'll be able to start the second volume!

This. Stuns. As. Usual. Makoto is flat out gorgeous! I like, want to steal her away from Neph. Seriously! Her eyes are so clear and detailed and her hair is flowy and lovely. Also, her dress is great. I love that you kept her in green, but a different shade of it!

As for Neph, I also think you did an awesome job on his eyes and hair. Both are very pretty. I do think his hands are a bit big, but his shoulders and the rest of his body looks fine to me. I don't think you need to be worried, Gossamer-dear!

Overall, this is a lovely piece and I love it a lot!!

Oh my gosh, how have I not replied to this yet?!? I totally thought I already did!I guess I just imagined I did somehow...so great, I guess I'm just going crazy My apologies!

Aww~~I hope you don't get sick of me saying that you are so sweet and wonderful with how you comment on my art, because you just are I'm so glad you think I did a good job with Mao and Neph (despitehismonsterhands). Makoto was great fun to draw/color, especially her hair

Lol. It's totally alright, dear! I hate having moments like that though. They're not fun.

No, I don't get sick of it at all! It always makes me smile. You're incredibly sweet for saying that to me! You definitely did! (Lol. It's okay. His hands aren't that distracting from the overall drawing if that's of any consolation.) That's great. It's always good when an artist can have fun with their drawing.
