This was my past art homework...that was due today. Of course, I got it in on time. Early infact. =3 So anyway, this started out as a sketch of this girls picture I saw on DA....I couldn't find it again. I forgot how the hell I found it to begin with. But if you ever see a picture of a girl sitting like this...and similiar (minus the beanie), credit to her for inspiring me to draw this. Then I happened to run across an artist by the name of Becky Cloonan. Very awesome. I saw a piece of hers that also inspired me for this. So from hers I took the idea for the birds, as she drew something with all these dark birds and one winged guy. Check her out --> [link]

So this is what came out. And actually, the blobs that are surrounding her, that look like blood, were inspired by one of my friend, Jarrett's, art homeworks. Haha. Funny how you draw one thing from different people to create on image. So anywho....

This was drawn on watercolor paper, as I meant for it to be acrylic. Then I saw Becky's art, and made it black and white. Well, after talking to my art teacher, he said I should scan it in and try to come up with a textured image in the back. So I thought...and decided to use some of my feathers. So I scanned them in, and each time pasted the feather as a layer, changed the properties and colored over it, in a way to keep the textured look. I think it was the Overlay option. And then, pasted the image I scanned (in two parts) atop of it. And ta-da! My teacher thought it was awesome, and so did other people. lol. This guy Charlie in my class said he even wanted a copy of it. So yeah. Hope you enjoy this. =3
