The Charming maid from our little story got her presentation shoot as well. She comes from a poor family from the working class and had to fight her way to success, which made her rather selfish, cunning and unscrupolous when it comes to have her own way. To gather some money and leave her town, she worked as a waitress, burlesque artist, dishwasher, and even did little robbery and dupery every now and then. She met the Adventurous Mastermind and the Emerald Pilot when the two of them rescued her from some muggers in the slums, and decided to join the two of them ever since. Being rather elegant despite her humble descent, she often acts as a mannequin to help the Mastermind to show and sell her products, being rather manipulative and able to persuade the customers, sometimes even comiung up with weird ideas like acting as if she were a mechanical doll. All in all, she’s a nice girl, but sometimes her selfish ways, vain character and tendency to get into trouble get a little on her mates’ nerves. But well, they’re really good friends, in the end.

It was nice to conceive a background story for this series of photos. Of course, during the short time it took us to get to the set I could only come up with the main stuff like the characters personality and such, and I did the main stuff once I got back home and started postprocessing the photos, but at least the first ideas helped me with the approach to the photos. That’s how I came up with the idea of some individual presentation shots first.
I guess the background story is extremely clichéed in the Steampunk culture, but whatever: that’s what it is, a background story, not a novel.
