Jo, a high-strung yet cuddly chihuahua, and companion to Ru: [link]Critique is welcome and encouraged. It looks 'off' to me, but I've hit that point where I can't objectively look at it anymore and just want to move on. Suggestions?

It's a rather dark image. I don't know if that's just my display but it seems pretty shadowy. Maybe a few more highlights and a bit of eyeshine to make the eyes not so black?
That aside, DOGGY!

See, that's the second time the brightness and display things were brought up with these dogs, and I don't think I'm doing anything different. It very well could be me drawing on subtly odd settings...
That being said, I am punching up the eyeshine!

Well, while it is a good picture, it's actually almost Nightmare Fuel to me.
Part of it is the general dark tone the colors set about, but more than that is how sunken the eyes appear to be. Because of that, combined with the fact he's looking straight out at you, it contributes to a very scary piece indeed.
