Description
Because of the magazine's (Penthouse) new ownership, things started to change. Starting the end of October 2006, a new Editor In Chief stepped in and had a vision for the way the magazine should look. Part of that vision is the new front of the book service feature called Life On Top. Being that it's its own section, the look and format should differ from the general pages of the magazine. Guess who got that responsibility...After a month of setting up a format and finally crystallizing the master pages/style sheets, I managed to develop a completely different look that's flexible and reader friendly.
You start off with a right hand page that leads you to a spread on the next. This service section features grooming, technology, drinks, and other men's interests. These features vary per month.
Most of the art is pickup. Tech, Pour House, and the Febreeze bottle was shot by my buddy Nick Ferrari. We get slashed together.

i have a question regarding to what you do.all these products (e.g the cellphone,mp3 player) delivered to your office? ..and do u get to keep it ? or they already provide you the pict?

yes they were shipped to us but we had to ship it back to their respected companies unfortunately... Sometimes we use pickup art provided by the companies.

Very friendly and nice, I have the same doubt about the rounded corners, but only after I read it lol... I like it!

good layout - i like the different weight keylines, they give a structure to the spreads - nice dividers.
im not so sure about the rounded edges on the final spread shown here though - it doesnt seem to gel too well with the rest of the content. everything else seems to be very angular.
good stuff though!

My thought here was that it would compliment the liquor bottles seeing how they're in a similar position adjacent to each other. Plus it's really the only sidebar in the series so it desereves to be a little different
