A very nice pic of the falls, with a good choice for the exposure time. The pic would be even better if it captured the unreal blue of the lake itself, which can be done even at that hour of the day (late afternoon, which is when we were there as well.) Perhaps if you'd positioned your camera somewhere differently on the boardwalk, then you could have aimed *into* the water more and scooped up some of the amazing turquoise color that the lake is known for.

the late afternoon light is nice - i went pre-dawn and had a blue light - not bad, but this is better !

Yeah I thought it was going to be awful, but once I realized I'd get that huge source of diffuse orange light off the canyon wall, I sat up there and waited for the sun to go down.
Love it when a plan comes together!

I've been there and I really want to go back. Beautiful picture. I don't know anything about photography, but the colors here are so bold and beautiful. Amazing piece.

I waited until the sun was setting and there was no direct light falling on the lake. All the light was bounced off the cliffs to the east so the rocks round the lake had a nice subtle glow to them
