This is the largest purchase in a while, and now the only German visor cap in the museum collection. It's a peaked visor cap for an NSDAP Ortsgruppe official. The Ortsgruppe was the low level administrative command for the Nazi Party. Whoever wore this visor cap 75+ years ago was likely holding a command in a city or district. The cap is typical manufacture, including the velvet band around the cap. Unfortunately the leather lining around the inside is not in the best condition and the maker label is somewhat worn down, but from the outside it is very presentable. The cap was purchased for $500.
