Malty S. Melromarc, now under the appropriate name "Bitch", is a horrible person - to the point of being considered "worst female anime character in January 2019". The anime fans's overall animosity towards her is mostly due to her making a false rape accusation against protagonist Naofumi Iwatani right at the first episode of the anime, turning the happy and youthful guy into a cynical, jaded, dark, contemptuous and semi-misogynist individual. Along the Shield Hero series, Malty's malevolent actions bring a great deal of disgrace and suffering to everyone, even her own family, unfortunate enough to cross paths with her.

Indeed. Malty went to the point of setting fire to an entire forest just to force her younger sister Melty to show up, so she could murder the girl in cold blood and claim the throne of Melromarc for herself.

I do like the series. What I don't like is the character of Naru. Even back when I made the original comment you replied to, I didn't actually like her very much. Not so much that she was abusive (I can still laugh at that), it was that she didn't face any consequences for her behavior, and always got away with being violent.
