Description This is a Black Hawk helicopter I just finished for a friend's brother who just returned from his third tour in Iraq where he works on a UH-60 Black Hawk. He will be receiving the original as a Christmas gift from my friend who is his sister.

This is my first posting here. I hope I load my image correctly.

I'm blown away by the work some of you guys do. Amazing!!!

Ha... I really really love the way you draw it. It have drawn it for several times but i could not display as correctly the beauty of this chopper as you did.

May I ask which picture you used as example? I'm going to drawing lessons and I'll be drawing a vehicle next week. But can't find any cool pic of a black hawk except this one
Though it's already drawn and I need the original picture hehe

Nice job!

Thanks. Glad you like it.

I drew this using several sources so there is no one reference photo of this Black Hawk at this angle configured in this way. The air intake filters for instance were added in using close up photos from the manufacturer as reference. Several photos of an actual US Army, 3rd ID Black Hawk were given to me by a crew chief, but they were all badly underexposed so I could not use them for very much. I no longer have them.

What you may want to do is visit [link] . There you can find lots of good clear high res photos of aviation subjects. Just make sure you contact and ask permission from the photographers to use their copyrighted photos for drawing reference. In most cases they will gladly agree. Good luck.

Andy

Looks good! As a suggestion the shadow needs to be refined, maybe slightly darker, but other than that it looks ok!

Many thanks zoubareva.

I learned a lot drawing this one. I can't wait to do another. The next will be a co-worker's daughter's horse. An area where it appears you have great experience.

Wow, that is absolutely amazing! Simply breathtaking!
The textures look so real and the details are overwhelming. I'm sure your friends' brother will love this drawing as well.
