Background:
Trigger... was the coolest.
Ever since Chase was little, he looked up to his Cool Cousin Trigger. I mean- the guy had it ALL. He saved the world over and over, knew 13 languages, was one of the seven sacred keys to the Infinite Abyss Dungeon, and he had twelve girls fighting over him. To top it off, he was rich.
Trigger would only stop by occasionally during boring family reunions, but that was Chase's favorite time. Even Trigger seemed delighted to spend time with Chase, and would talk to him for hours on end.
Eventually Trigger went off to some amazing academy, and Chase was utterly inspired to follow his cousin's footsteps. He wanted to be as cool as his relative, and was inspired every step of the way to become someone that Trigger could respect!

Of course though, the world ended, and Chase found himself wandering the world aimlessly. Of course, his cousin had it squared away- He was probably off fighting whatever monster caused this mess. Years passed, things stayed the same, and slowly Chase started to realize that maybe Trigger had fibbed a little about his situation. But that thing about the girlfriends and being rich- That had to be true.

Chase was starting to lose hope over his situation, until one day he heard word about the Elysium Resistance- Or what was formerly known as Grimoire Academy. Of course, that's where Trigger was! HE WAS SAVED! Trigger no doubt probably ran the place with his oodles of cash, and Chase was on the road to paradise.

He arrived at the sanctuary and asked around for Trigger, thinking everyone would know exactly who he was talking about... Everyone, however, was clueless. Okay, maybe Trigger was known by his birth name? Eventually he met one person who made a very displeased face and said he was working in the Infirmary. Well... That couldn't have been right, but he was going to check it out anyway.

He met up with his cousin, now Blake... And sure enough... He was a total loser.

Chase had been completely and totally inspired by Trigger as a child- But something he had said to her as a kid had always stuck with her.
Are you stupid? Girls can't be heroes.
This stuck with her, pushing her to dress as a guy and take up male pronouns- As some last ditch attempt to be someone worthy of the respect of her cousin.
After her disenchantment with Blake's current situation, she decided that the best course of action would to stop trying to be someone she wasn't- Someone she felt pressured to be by her cousin. Of course, she could only come to that decision via support from her partner Yasuo, THE COOLEST PARTNER IN THE WORLD. They're besties.

Personality:
Talkative with those she's familiar with, but rather distant with those she's not. She's easily intimidated, and always has to remind herself that you can't act scared! You have to seem worthy of their respect!
She doesn't even try to seem tough in front of her other two roommates, they're too scary and she'll just do whatever they say.
Incredibly passionate about a few things, she'll rant forever about theories or games she enjoys- Meanings of characters within stories, hypotheticals about situations. Smalltalk is boring, and if she's familiar with someone she'll try to push the topic to something she wants to talk about. If she just can't click with a person, she won't bother to try to be friends with them.
Finds comfort in small spaces. Big areas make her nervous. She sleeps under the bed.

Strengths/Weaknesses
Doesn't get overwhelmed in stressful situations. However, will immediately start writing a will.
His dry humor and disposition makes him not very likable.
In combat, usually just gives up right away.
