This is my pet Dwarf Caimen Hadies, and he is dressed as, BUMBLEBEE! SUPER AWESOME AUTOBOT!!!Hehe i made this costume for him, HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!
Hadies is indeed a crocodile, and he was such a good boy, i cant believe how good he was, he actually let me put this on him without any problems!!!

Caimans are the smallest species of crocodilian. I can imagine they cost a lot of money and feeding them will obviously be a challenge for obvious reasons. Could you imagine buying goldfish and feeding them to the caiman?

Correction. It's a caiman. And chances are it's still the exact same size it is in this picture. Caimans don't get as big as crocs, gators or gharials.

Just shows how square the judging process was. All bar one of the top 10 were dogs. The exception was a freaking cat.

I thought it was illegal to keep them as pets? I think any law like that fr any animal is shit but...

They get about 3 to 4 feet ish. As long as you dont overly power feed them they will stay a managable size.
It is legal in colorado along with many other states, but it is illegal in many other states so you have to check with your Division of Wildlife on that.
I bought this guy at the local reptile shop.

Aww. He's freakin' adorable. I'm not going to criticize you too much about having him as a pet, so all I can say is that I hope he has a nice big place to swim in and be a croc. Because I've learned that even my dog needs a break from her owners sometimes! xD
I'm not against zoos or privately-owned sanctuaries, or heck, even people owning wild animals so long as they know how to care for them properly and keep themselves and others safe. Because just like a previous commenter said, they don't make the best pets. But you probably already knew that. 
Also, aren't crocodiles kind of er, for lack of a better term, simple? Because I've heard that the big ones have walnut-sized brains, and my brother used to own an embalmed alligator head (sad and gross, I know) and it didn't look like it had much room for a brain. Since alligators and crocodiles are related, I'd kind of have to assume...

Well they dont make the best pet for just anyone. I worked many years around animals this size and much bigger. I feel comfortable picking him up and caring for him and learned a lot about them when i worked with them. Its not an animal anyone should just jump into thats for sure.
Crocs and caimens are simple but smart in their own way, they learn habits really well. You cant really teach them tricks or to be potty trained but over time you can teach them habits. Theyve been around hundreds of thousands of years for some reason.

They have the potential of 5 feet but mine has stayed really small. Im not complaining.

Yeah, because they can live up to 60 years and supposedly they grew an inch a year.
5 Feet isn't that bad for a dwarf. A croc (although, Caiman means alligator in Spanish) has a very long tail. So they wouldn't be that big, if you think about it.
