Description Isn't it simply amazing where cats will sleep? I strolled out into the loungeroom today, to find Winston asleep between the two halves of a guitar case not belonging to this family. Later, when I returned, he was asleep, face pressed up hard against the right half of the case.

Now for the most exciting part: IMAGE DETAILS!

This was taken with my Canon EOS 40D (Because I can't find the voltage converter for the great camera my sweetie gave me . I think it's floating around somewhere in this room full of shit..) f/2.8 F-Stop, 29mm Focal length, 1600 ISO speed (These settings were left over from photos I took at a party the other night) and taken as a RAW, HDR-d and saved in Photomatix.

Now, that was exciting, wasn't it?

.

I'm building up a new sample website now, so expect that to come through shortly if I can be arsed!

Sure he looks cute and innocent there, but when he's hungry, it's a different story! The other night it was his dinner time but we were all too busy to feed him, so he came and sat on top of my computer monitor and gave me evil glares (and I mean REALLY evil glares) until I became uncomfortable and fed him. Then he was good as gold again

He might be.. he sits at the door and whinges for food, although it sounds more like a Kate Bush song than a Carlos Santana guitar solo

Looks so much like my cat. He's a Russin Blue, isn't he?
Mine sleeps in odd positions. Most of the time, he stretches himself waaaayyy out on his back and sleeps.

Actually, I'm not sure if he's a Russian Blue or not. According to the people we adopted him from, he's just a mixed breed and a lot of people say he looks like a Russian Blue or a bit Siamese on some angles.

My girlfriend's cat sleeps in even stranger positions. She'll throw her legs out and spread out on the floor wherever she stops. Or she'll sleep on top of cabinets and stuff and meow at you as you walk past, scaring the living crap out of you. One night her mum bought a new keyboard and Sufi was happily sleeping in the box then moved over to the bigger box it came in, filled with paper and stuff. She's stranger than Winston

Lol. Cute. :3 He looks so much like my cat, that's why I asked. Since mine's a Russian Blue.

I love cats, but unfortunately I'm no breed expert

Is your cat as affectionate as mine is? When it's close to dinner time, he'll roll onto your leg, onto his back and sit there waiting for his stomach to be rubbed. Even when he's sleeping and you wake him up, he'll purr. Hell, even when you talk to him, he'll purr . Perhaps he might have a bit of Russian blue in him.. I should find out

Lol. XD
This one is super friendly. He ended up looking for attention from my aunt a few weeks ago. And, he's never even met her until that day.

He purrs all the time. He knows when you're talking to him while he's asleep with his actions.
He looooooves cat treats. Once, I left a container of treats on the counter. He found them and chewed on it until the top came off. Lol.
Also, I bought a pack of toy mice for him. They're the kind that come in a pack of 12 I think. They're 4 colors; magenta, blue, green & orange. I picked four out four for him to play with and put the rest in (what I thought was) a safe place. A few weeks later, I find the package on the floor with toy mice everywhere. XD

Winston did much the same with his box of cat treats. We have a small container with some in there for when we're taking him to bed. He was feeling rather lazy so I put them on the ground next to him to try and encourage him to stand up. I turned my head for less than a second and by then he had knocked over the box of snacks and was eating them rather quickly. He's a clever boy XD

Speak of the devil, I hear him outside. It's early afternoon so he'll want to come inside for his food (he gets a chicken neck some days. Doesn't help with his breath much XD) or for a sleep. He's now choosing to sleeping in dad's guitar cases when he pulls them out to practice. I have another photo of him in an orange guitar case so perhaps I should clean that up and submit it

heh cats are funny, mine is like that sleeps in odd places and *ahem* mine does lick wood, he's fond of doors and tv trays mostly and sometimes he'll also lick the laundry basket which is plastic, so maybe mine is quite odd? O_o

Nicely done pic too, like the color contrasts between the case and ze kitty.

That is rather strange. Our cat is sometimes a carpet muncher.. literally, he'll be washing his paw and keep washing past his paw until he's almost gnawing on a piece of carpet.

Holly's cat was worse though. She would put her head through one of the handles on a plastic bag and walk around the house for hours, dragging this oversized plastic bag with her. She also has this cardboard box which is "hers". She sleeps in it, sleeps on it, pulls at the plastic (she has no claws yet still manages to shred the edges up) and even licks the plastic. I walked out one day to grab a drink and she was licking at the plastic. I returned half an hour later to put my can in the bin, and she was still at it.

Soooooo we bought her a $2.50 children's suit from Wal-Mart and played dress-up to punish her for dragging Holly's stuff out into the kitchen

Thanks for the comments! Hope all is well with you

It was for him. He was purring away happily when I came up to him. I tells you, he could sleep across a bed of nails with another set of nails on top and purr when I come near him. He's one strange cat

Hollilicious In reply to Grayda [2008-02-23 07:23:04 +0000 UTC]

But he doesn't lick plastic for over an hour at a time, or chatter like a monkey, or wear stray Wal-Mart bags like a superhero cape, does he? Then he's not that strange
