Description
A bit of shameless promotion: a stamp meant to help advertise the Cetus Sea boards. We're a small forum, but with one big difference from most other cetacean-oriented communities I've seen: we have a cetacean roleplay section.

As for the forums, we appreciate the visit, and would welcome you in the event you do decide to join. Though CS has only been actively running since April of this year, I intend to keep it open for as long as time and circumstances allow.

It's wonderful to know that you intend to maintain the forums for as long as possible - I took a look around, and, I must say, I am impressed. The community appears to be quite inviting, not to mention fairly large. ^^ I really am contemplating joining, and I believe it would be a privilege to do so.

Overall, I like to think it's a pretty relaxing place to be. As the disclaimer says, it's not a cetacean forum that's hung up on the captivity debate, or the plights these creatures face in real life. While I would never dismiss these issues as unimportant, as I said, they're not primarily what CS is about. I've been a member of several different cetacean related forums that have come and gone since 2004, and CS' framework is actually the revamped skeleton that used to be my old website's inactive forums. It's why my admin account lists me as having been registered since December '05.
All things considered, we're pretty small, at only around 40 members, about 15 of which are regularly active. Even so, prodigious growth in a short amount of time isn't something we've necessarily wanted. Our thinking is, those looking for a quaint little cetacean forum to join will eventually find their way to us.

I suppose a relatively tight-knit community (as opposed to a ridiculously large one) is more conducive to a relaxing atmosphere. ^^ And I can understand; I, myself, am a staunch advocate of animal rights, especially with regards to cetaceans, but there are many other (more positive) facets of these amazing creatures that one can focus on.

The flip side of that coin is that, to some, it may seem - at first brush - that we are an exclusive forum made up of a few friends. To some extent, this is true, but we're not of an invite-only mentality. We're always receptive to anyone who may have an interest in joining.
Yes, I try not to boast about much when it comes to CS, but the RP section is exempt from this personal rule.

Actually, non-premuim members can use stamps. Just not in the descriptions of their deviations. Thumbnail codes work in such places as the ID section, and in journal entries, I believe.
