THIS IS FOR ALL THE PEOPLE WHO THOUGHT CORALINE GOT JIPPED AT THE ACADEMY AWARDS 2010!!
I'm still in shock...You probably noticed that I was one of the few that didn't dedicate a whole journal to ranting about the Oscars. That's because I was busy constructing this! Oh Russell, you silly boy scout!
I am so proud of this. It's one of my faves and probably one of the funniest pieces I currently have! 
I admit, it was a bit of challenge to get Russel to look stupid enough, and then twice as hard to keep Coraline's head the same size as his. But then I figured, Coraline's 11 and Russell's 8. There ought to be some growth difference between these two!

I so agree; Up was... fine, I... guess?
Coraline, however, is vastly superior in my mind. I mean, seriously. Sure, it's Pixar. They've gotten a hit every single time (Cars 2, however...), and Coraline wasn't even predicted to do well at the box office anyway.
But still... bleh. I'm going to end up with a five-page rant if I go into all the details.
Anyway. Win. Epic win.

hmmmmmm... i dont know. yes both "Up" and "Coraline" were both amazing movies, yes. But i think it has its reasons. the movie coraline i personally thought was a bit disturbing. my cousin Delaney saw this movie (and she watchs horror flicks with me) was freaked out by this movie.

Up was alright, but I think the cheesy climax (You know, the part where Carl Fredrickson suddenly becomes much more athletic for no apparent reason whatsoever) ruined its chance to beat Coraline with me. I think the judges were looking at the "Pixar" branding when they made their decisions.

Both movies were great but stop motion scares the crap out of me so I couldn't enjoy Coraline as much as I would have liked. ><

coraline was sooo better than UP dont get me wrong they are both awesome movies i loved the giant bird in UP lol *SQUAAAK!*XD BUT STILL! coraline at least had more of a plot and i think it really should have gotten that award >:T

I'm soooooooo mad for this!!!UP is not Oscar movie.It's a common movie.It hasn't nothing of particular....It's all a cheat!They did this just for money.

Man, I stopped paying attention to Oscars, Academy Awards, and most other big movie award shows after how Batman Begins was treated a few years ago. Every year I hear anything about these type of award shows, I am constantly reminded of why I call them all a big load of CROCK.
Coraline absolutely should have won. It was a better movie than Up, by an order of magnitude.
