I looked at my gallery and saw that for years I've been using the same pallet, more or less. Because I keep using my same watercolors. I also felt there's certain stylistic ruts I've grooved myself into. Now, I enjoy my art, but it highly annoys me to do the same thing over and over. So in this, I did an experiment - I was not allowed to use any of my normal media other than my pencils and paper. I also wanted to change many things about style -- my usual "zoom" level onto a character. Even the fact that I usually draw people facing the right of the page. Obviously I didn't break everything, but that was not my objective.

It was sort of weird to intentionally draw wings that made no anatomical sense.

Now, onto the subject matter.

This may or may not be autobiographical. I did not intend it to be so. In any case it is not how I feel now, but more... inspired by how I have felt at moments.

The need to hold on to corpses.
