Description
This commando-type DANE has swapped out its forearm anti-armor missile bays for anti-personnel gatling guns and carries a powerful battle rifle.I must admit that the client calls this mech the "Jimmy," but I just can't get behind that. I'm calling it the Dane because it's still a man's name while also being a contraction of "Durphane" -- an ollllld design of mine I revisited for this commission. Take a look here:

Dane is far more original than a "Jimmy".
Jimmy sounds too much like "Jim"/"GM" from Gundam.

I'm well aware of both. And the Gundam thing, it's not "Origins" -- it's "Gundam: The Origin," an animated adaptation of the long-running manga of the same name, which retells the story of the original Gundam tv series with lots of new material added in. Basically Gundam getting the Yamato 2199 treatment.
