I've seen a lot of WW costume redesigns. Personally, I love WW as she is (well, before New 52 anyway). Still, many smart people have noted that WW's costume could stand to be modified -- it's skimpiness is a bit too overtly sexual, and her exposed cleavage would turn into an air scoop in flight. (Party poopers!) Admittedly, these are good points. So here's my attempt to address these issues while sticking as closely as possible to the spirit of WW's original costume.

First, I covered her cleavage with a halterneck that terminates in a gold choker (gotta match all that jewelry). Second, instead of giving her pants (which looks awful) I lengthened her signature boots to mid-thigh. This allows her trunks to become tights rather than pants. This turned out to accommodate the stars taking on a pattern that evokes a garter belt. I realized I'd accidentally applied a different kind of sexy vibe in this design, a tough kinda sexy... sorta like a dominatrix. I hadn't planned that, but I liked it, so I also opted to change her golden lasso into a golden chain.

Please note:
I didn't draw this woman. I loosely traced the Black Widow's figure and face from John Byrne's art book. And it's not even a good tracing. I did this because (1) I just wanted a quick, lo-fi sketch to see how the costume works, and (2) I have a very hard time drawing women, so instead of either taking a long time or doing a crappy drawing, I took this shortcut. Please don't dwell on it -- the point here is my costume concept, and that's all.

Anyway, Wonder Woman is copyright and everything DC Comics, no infingement, etc.
