i dont no mate, this is pretty good tbh. Its got the subtlety of photo manipulation without being to overboard you know what i mean.? whereas the other one, yes looks more effective, is a bit too bold. Coming from a photography point of view, this is a better piece of work. but perhaps the shore should be either creeping out more or not included at all, thats my ownly suggestion.
