Just a flat colored drawing of an interpretation of a potential future villian in a sequel to The Dark Knight.-------------------
PENGUIN
A mob boss of sorts. "Penguin" was initially used as a derogatory nickname, making fun of his appearance and his gimped leg that kinda makes him look a bit like he's waddling when he walks (but nothing too silly), but he now uses the monniker occaisionally himself, though he to be called by his real name, Oswald Cobblepot.
A very serious guy, not one you want to get on the bad side of. Carries with him an umbrella he uses as a type of cane. The umbrella handle conceals a bladed weapon that can be "unsheathed" for use as a weapon for protection.
Very wealthy, enjoys the "highlife" of crime. Loves fine wine, designer suits, a good cigar, what have you. Small fondness of birds.

The design was actually a lot more difficult to formulate than you'd think it'd be. It was hard getting the Penguin to look like the Penguin yet not look like a complete goof.

Heh, I think that if you tossed The Penguin in the middle of a scene in Inception, no one will even notice anything that is amiss. Really, Nolan likes his characters to look dapper/sharp in suit.

love it love it love it. Nolan needs to see this pic, because this is EXACTLY what i've been wanting to see in a Nolanvese Penguin.
I wouldn't even have Penguin be THE villain in a future film, but rather A villain. you know, just another mob boss (hell, Falcone in Batman Begins could have easily been rewritten as Penguin), operating from his Iceberg Lounge. Maybe he'd provide Batman with sum info like he does in the comics, or maybe he'd kill a guy with an umbrella (if Joker can have a knife in his shoe in The Dark Knight, it shouldn't be unplausable for Penguin to have a trick umbrella or two. simple stuff like a gun, a blade, or a cigarette lighter), or maybe he'd get into a scuffle with Batman (Penguin CAN actually fight. he learned martial arts to beat up bullies that picked on him in his youth). This would be the ideal Penguin.

Despite Nolan saying he didn't want Penguin in his series, I've seen a lot of interpretations that actually makes me want to see him.
This is one of them.
