my only slashy drawing...Alright, alright, I'm mostly lying... a title... but! this certainly is the only one I've done for a specific purpose and have it coloured!
Before you shred me down, I'd like to say that I love LOTR as it was originaly written...mostly. I don’t think I've ever read a novel so fast than when I got my hands on my one-volume version.
I am, however, prone to become a devoted shipper in little time.
So here's one of my fav (sadly imaginary) couples, which, luckily for me, has fans all over. One of them being Ziggy3 at ff.net, with the story "Deeper than Breathing " (now with sequel !)

Legolas and Eomer have just survived the battle of Helm's Deep and take a moment to enjoy the many advantages of being alive.
The title occurred to me when I remembered that elves do glow... however, if I were Eomer, I wouldn’t find it 'mesmerizing' or 'fascinating' ...it'll scare the crap out of me.
So I'd probably lose like 30% of my public for publishing yaoi/slash...I might even win 50% more... who knows…l
but Here are the reasons why I share this with you.
one, because I like that story;
two, because (taking advantage of my paid memebership! *loves adn cuddles to ArrayePL*) I want to know what you guys think of the fireplace tone on the image (I keep telling myself Eomer's arm is too skinny... but I tried to make it wider and came out worse... and I really have no more idea of hwo make thsi better...) , and maybe hear some tips on how to make it look more real;
three, because I want to know what some of you think about the general idea (I have nothing to do: it's holidays...)
and four, well... I'm wicked that way!

OOO! I really like this pic! Very intimate. I think overall the proportions are done nicely. Also, I love that green tattoos! Hmm... above, in your description, are you referring to the arm that when looking at the picture, is the right-most arm? If so, I think it's just a hint too skinny too. I would think that there are 2 ways to correct this:
Choice 1: make his arm wider, by drawing the left line more to the left (this is viewing the pic from our POV); thus we the viewers, would not see as much of his chest exposed (which is kinda a bummer, but that's one way how to make it larger without throwing off the proportions).
Choice 2: You would have to kinda re-do most of the entire arm, by in essence, having the character move his arm back farther (kinda think like the character just decided to begin pulling back a bow-string, but he's only moved about 3-6 inches from where that arm is presently positioned (and it would be the character left arm that you would imagine pulling back a bow-string, contrary to canon I think. But I'm just trying to write in words what position I'm talking about.). Thus the entire arm would shift a bit back away from the center of his body; which thus still allows us to have that lovely view of his chest. But then again, you would still likely redraw the left line of the arm so it's not as far back as you have drawn the right line of the arm.
I hope that makes sense!
Hmm... I think your fire/glow looks good over all. If it's from a fire, I think of it as casting a more roundish glow; which it looks like you've done with the outer-most layer of the glow; but then as you get closer to the center of the glow, it looks like it has become more of a 'line' rather than a 'round curve'. So I generally like a rounder looking glow, and I think you have that for the outer-most layer, but not the inner layers (more saturating with the yellow/orange color). Thus, if you want to make it look a bit more consistent, you might consider making the inner layers appear more curved, that follow a similar curve of the outer-most layer.

yeah, the hand that was being difficult to me was the right one, I guess I haven't been paying attention when ppl bend their arms...
In this case I gues I can make the arm wider, but mostly I want to redo the entire thing until it's better, so thanks: I had no idea how to try and do it till now!
I think I still have a long way to go in regard to glows, guess we'll see what works!

The moment you said Eomer and Legolas you had me! I love that pairing (Though I prefer Elrond/Legolas) and I think this is lovely! I don't remember anywhere in Tolkein's collection that it said elves had marking or tattoo's, but I'm glad you gave him them - They're wonderful! So kudo's, keep up the great work!

well,I kinda liek Elrond/Legolas too, but this fic was just epic! because both characters were more or less acting cannon!like, and things sort of... lead to them being togheter.
nope! Actually Tolkien was old school in that regard, and he hated tattoos, so of course his most beloved and fairiest creatures were not gonna have tattoos... but we're talking about the sindar/silvan from mirkwood... we can take some artistic liberty with them! 
Plus, in this fic, the tattoos are actually for identification, so if a Silvan elf looses a limb or his face is destroyed by the creatures of Dol Guldur, their body could be indentified...so yeah, sad, but most likely true.. *sniff*

Well yeah, I agree with you there. After the last alliance the sindarin elves pretty much became savages, and so it would kinda make them grow their own culture, so tattoo's do sound quite realistic now! Then again, I can't remember if it's right or not, but didn't the silvan and sindarin elves have piercings? (Or have I just read that of a fNFIC?

Also, the colors and skintones are very well done, and the idea of using Tattoos as nametags is very good (yeah, I read the previous comments xD)

well.. the lines are sort of tribal tattos, but also a way to identify bodies, like nametags; Mirkwood is after all a very dangerous place

i love this LOTR pairing (ya so what if its only a dream??) and i love your artwork. i gave up trying to draw these guys because they always came out lopsided and there is no way i'm gonna defile the picture in my brain XD
