Description
Another day, another picture of a bird of prey. This is a barn owl that I photoed at Huxley's Bird of Prey Centre in Horham (www.flyingfalcons.co.uk ). I actually got to fly either this bird or possibly another barn owl at the centre, where the bird flew from one gloved hand of another person to mine, and back and forth. It was a wonderful experience to be up close to such a lovely animal. Up close, I loved the mottled brown and beige patterns on the wing and backs of the owl, while also appreciating the lustre whiteness of the front of the bird.
