Thank you! The cemetery is local and one of the oldest in the area. I have a lot of useful stock from there.

I like them too. I am waiting for our seasons to change (fall) and will visit some other local ones for photographs. Cemetery photos are better if the trees are bare.

Here in Belgium cemeteries don't have much old graves...it's very little country and when there isn't enough place for new graves they just take the old ones away...

I live in the northeastern part of the US which was where the first settlements were established. Some of the oldest cemeteries have graves dating back to the 1700's.

I do, but don't get to do very much of it. I have been around the eastern half our country and would like to see the western half. We have relatives in Utah and I would like to drive there. It would take around three days and would be a great way to see more of the country.

So we can't go away for more than one day...

We could hire a sitter for our dogs but the issue that stops us from going far is putting gas in our truck. My work is only 8 miles away and I spend around 60.00 dollars a week just to drive there.

We have a Dodge Dakota pickup. It is our only vehicle and is useful but not very economical. In the area in which I live there is no public transit and the roads are too dangerous for biking.

In Belgium is the economical situation very bad at the moment.
Many factories closed this year and young people can't find jobs...
We are multicultural but there is nowadays a huge criminality....
Last week while I was walking I find an Elderly lady lying on the soil her purse was stolen.

Our economic situation is bad also. There are jobs, but all are in the service industry, pay far below a living wage and very few offer over 28 hours per week. Crime in our cities is high, but most is gang related violence. Where I live, crime is not a problem. We leave our doors open at night. Well done helping the lady!

We went through a period here of bank foreclosures where many people lost their homes. Luckily, ours is paid for, but you can still lose your home if you are behind on property taxes. I was unable to work for seven months because of an injury so we are behind payments on most of our expenses. It will take a long time to catch up. I'm sorry to here that you were injured helping the lady. I am left handed, and four years ago I had surgery to repair my left shoulder. It was challenging to learn to rely on my right hand.

I have a few years before retirement. The injury did not heal properly and I have some limitations. I was able to return to my old job but in a different department, as I would be unable to do the work that I did before. I'm much better with my right hand than I was before but left is still best.

Kandy (my wife) volunteers at the Salvation Army. They help people who are in economic difficulties of have suffered some sudden misfortune. She goes several times a week and enjoys it very much. She is going today in just a bit. I will take her at 6:30 am. I'm starting to feel my age and need to stay active. If I have a day where I sit around too much my joints become stiff.

I have arthritis in my shoulders and knees. I try to go on long hikes as much as possible as it helps quite a bit. Standing at work for nine hours a day is not so good. After a few hours my knees sound like they are made of bubble wrap. Kandy really does enjoy her volunteering. Before we meet, she required help from similar agencies and says that this is her way of paying back.

My wife's name is Martine and she's a nurse she works full time. And at weekends she helps at the animal shelter and
we help poor people with food packets ....
I'm sorry to hear you have arthritis too....

Kandy also helps with food packets for the disadvantaged. The agency receives food donations from several sources and then redistributes to those who need. Arthritis is common in my family and is a sign of getting older I guess. I won't let it slow me down if I can help it. My favorite activity is long (5-10 mile)[ I think that would be 10-20 kilometers] hikes through our mountains with Kandy and I would miss that greatly if my knees became an issue.

The same with me, if I keep moving it is not an issue. It only becomes one if I spend too much time sitting or standing in one place. Long periods of rainy weather are the worst, being inside as well as the dampness.

Maybe from the cemetery, it's the oldest in town. It was established in 1790 and still in good condition. I wanted to include it in this work to give a feeling of age and the haunted atmosphere that surrounds the place. Thank you for taking the time to comment on my work.
