Thanks!
The photos don't do it justice I think. Seeing it through the telescope it was just amazing.

Yeah, the image was large enough to be passable.

That is so much cooler than what I was trying to view through the clouds.
I didn't get photos 'cause I never had a telescope, only my 200mm which would have laughed at me lol
Really nice shot

I took a few shots with my 55-200, came out okay! Even got some stars in it. Downside, I screwed up with the ISO. Way too high. Nasty.

It sure did!
I tell you what though. The photos don't do it justice. Seeing it through the telescope was just amazing.

I got about two dozen shots of the eclipse on my last roll of Provia 100F. Now I need to finish the roll and send it off to get developed. Unfortunately I only had a 28-100 zoom available, not a telescope. Nice photo!

Oh man, I was wishing i'd taken my F80 and some velvia. (Or maybe provia 400 when it was at its darkest)
Moon should have just fit full frame, and the colours would have popped.

Hmmm, maybe. I've got three rolls of Velvia 50 in the fridge but decided against using them. Velvia does funny things on long exposures, whereas Provia has performed well with long exposures and in shadow detail. Provia has pretty strong colours too, so it's not a total loss.

This one was 8 second exposure, but, on a normal moon, it's a LOT faster. Of course, this is the sort of moon you want the colour from. :/
Provia 400 would be good.

that was happening to you too eh? How odd! I didn't consume anything at Mikaels, so I know we didn't have any wormwood! lol
I didn't try the photomerge tool! dammit, I did mine the old school way - took ages to line the damn thing up!

Mine lined up okay , just had to make a layer mask and fade out one edge.
The other moon shot was the photomerge, and I didn't have to adjust anything!
