Description Now for something a bit different.

This animation is knitted out of thick rope. I had to use 20mm knitting needles to make it up, so you can imagine each frame is rather large. I'd estimate they're about 18inches across (which obviously doesn't come across in the animation.)

This is a partner to the little pink horses previously posted. They're about gender and objectifying people and all that kind of stuff that's integral to my degree work but I wont bore you with

The pattern to this animation is actually smaller than my previous horse animations. They're 30st across, this one is only 22st, so you can imagine it's much smaller and quicker to knit up. I did this because I was dubious about how easy the rope would knit up as a pattern. It proved not to be too bad, but it was very coarse and made my hands sore, so I rarely knitted more than 1 frame a day.

They probably took less than 90 minutes each to knit up, so all-in-all thise entire animation has taken only about 15 hours to complete, my quickest yet!

There will be a second animation of this one, since when I was photographing it I did images with a flash and without. I did this because the shiny rope proved harder to photograph than my usual yarn ones and I wasnt sure which one would look better.

This one is without a flash.

I had my reservations as to whether this would work, since the pattern is smaller. I think it's readable as a galloping horse, but I would like your opinions

Not the animation itself. I edited a preexisting animation into the pattern

Tis very nice! Very good!! I approves! Do have to agree it's not as clear as your other one, but it's still clear enough you can tell what it is and that's what really matters, right? I love it! And I love that you made it into like, a runner/rug thing. That's just pure genius!! I approve!!

Thank yoooous! Yeah, I much prefer the rug to the animation. They look a lot more like horses when they're static And it's soooooo comfy to walk on!

Although it's not as clear as your black and white animation, this is VERY impressive and a really original idea!
Keep up the good work
