Description Precursor “Orbs”

Haven City’s main currency. As real precursor orbs became rare, Haven city began smelting down precursor metal and minting their own coins named after their predecessors. In less wealthy districts of Haven, a single orb is still a relatively large amount of money, so certain merchants have taken to splitting the coins into halves and quarters to increase their sales range.
True Precursor Orb artifacts contain about 400x the precursor metal as an orb coin, but their history makes them even more valuable to the right customer.

(Pssst: They’re transparent)

Please note that this is a headcanon pertaining to Jakwagon fic. As Jakwagon fic attempts to expand on the world of Jak TPL, II and 3 canon, all headcanons are extrapolated from extensive world research, but in the end, they are just headcanons. Enjoy!

Jakwagon fic belongs to and myself.
Jak and Daxter and all related elements belong to Naughty Dog Entertainment.

More information:
Orb coins as a currency are denoted with the symbol ø (ie: ø20). Halves and quarters are commonly referred to as "bits". Whole Precursor Orb artifacts are denoted as currency with the larger symbol Ø, though this is usually only seen by the wealthy, such as racers or government officials, or to condense city-wide expenses.

I figure 1 bit is worth around 75 cents, so a without splitting they'd have to price everything at nearly 4 bucks or higher. Not a very efficient business strategy haha

No not really ugh I'm bad with money so the cents thing went over my
head since we have notes and pounds mostly here

75 cents is roughly half a euro.

Maybe that's the secret to precursor metal. It's actually 50% chocolate and 50% copper.

I'm a genius then! But then, do people not like chocolate in this world? Like so they wouldn't be tempted to mess with the coins or do they just really like money?

Maybe the purpose of money changing hands is just to amass the greatest hoarde of chocolate. A whole swimming pool, full to the brim with chocolate-- slightly minty.

Sidenote: The pun in this response is the greatest pun I've ever crafted. I just needed the world to know.
