Spiders always help with the clean. Β Well, if you can ignore the webs they spin which get dirty and dusty over time! Β Spiders are great though, I'm always happy to have them around. They're not anywhere near as creepy as some other arthopod lifeforms, and spiders help to keep these other arthopod lifeforms at bay! I never get rid of spiders, I just back off and let them be, unless they're in the tub, at which point I will remove them, no matter how big, with my bare hands. Then I will scoot them under the kitchen counters.Β

glad to see I'm not the only one who likes spiders.Β
In my old apartment, I wasn't allowed to have pets, but I had a friendly wall spider that kept me company. I'd come home everyday from work and try to find which wall it was camping out on this time

My roomie doesn't like spiders. She's not even sure why, as she didn't used to have a problem with them. Now they freak her out. Β
So if I see one, they usually get put outside. Β I know for a house spider, that is like exile, but it's better then possible squishings.
Lately though she seems to be better about it. Β She does go as much out of her way to squish them, though she will still 'ack' if they get to close to her, or pop out and say "hello" the like one in the door frame did one morning. XD

:C makes me sad when people squish these guys. they do no harm. a dog does more harm than a jumpingspider, but if someone squishes them, the world looses their minds xDΒ

Ah, here they are! Β These guys were fun to catch, and you could get a good look at them as they are quite large.

Yeah, it always makes me sad too. That's why I'm glad she rarely squashes them anymore, and more just chases them away. I think the jumping variety are just freaking adorable!
My friends and I used to catch some of the larger breeds of spiders when I lived back in my home town. Β We'd play with them for a while, and look at them, and usually put them back when we were done. Β Once in a while we would try to bring home say, a wolf spider, and try to keep it as a pet. ^.^

Oh, wow. Β They are right close by then. Β The ones we usually found were in an unused field, and you didn't often see them on the surface during the day.
