Yeah, I like Jim's character but I also really like Silver's character

Because he comes on as a bad guy, but had a soft spot for Jim and he shows it through out the entire movie.

Plus he is funny XD

That seems highly likely. Mr. Arrow is even smaller than him...in most ways. I imagine he does(and I have many times). Who could give better hugs than a big, ol' softy of a pirate, especially when you're feeling down.
