AKA the weakest Animaniacs character ever created. Reportedly, Shecky Hollander based her off of her own teenage daughter who would go through similarly explosive tantrums. She was the weakest character because all of her shorts were essentially the same story. Well, so was Chicken Boo, but at least Chicken Boo was funny, and shook up the formula on occasion. (Like in the Batman parody where everyone except the Caped Crusader knew that the Boo Wonder was a giant chicken.)

BTW, there have been a few episodes I did side with Katy. Mainly the one where she was driving the car home and the father kept bothering her about all the steps before driving even though she has a learner's permit and if you watch, was already doing the things he told her to do just before he told her

Animaniacs had some classic characters. The Warner siblings hosted, Pinky and the Brain got their own spinoff which was surprisingly high quality (the Warner siblings were good enough for such treatment). Of the other eight segments four of them (Slappy Squirrel, Rita and Runt, Buttons and Mindy, and Goodfeathers) I'm certain pulled their own weight at the very least. I haven't seen any Chicken Boo segments and Minerva Mink only got two segments before the writers decided she was too hot for TV so she gets a free pass.
Unfortunately, even writers of this caliber can put out stinkers. Katie Kaboom isn't alone at the bottom of the barrel, the Hip Hippos are right there with her. The Hip Hippos are hated for their snobbish attitudes. As for Katie, she should have only been in one episode, I've heard her episodes are indistinguishable.
