Ceryl, one of the four perspective characters for the comic i'm working on developing over on my patreon.

Ceryl Taira is the son of a Echani Matriarch. As a matrilinial culture, the Empire has little difficulty establishing an Imperial Military academy on the planet. Ceryl, like many of Eshan's sons, are naively brought into the Imperial War Machine. During routine testing, Ceryl tests extremely high on combat reflex tests, flagging him as 'eligible' for the Imperial Inquisition program. He is brought to Coruscant to train as an Inquisitor. Despite the protests of his parents and the volatile reaction of his older sister Ceryl accept's the Empire's offer, seeing it as an opportunity for glory and comradery he would otherwise be denied in his own home. Happy to escape his cruel upbringing he naively walks into a den of lions.
