Oh, yeah. I went there.
After seeing so many genderbent LB+CN characters, I decided to throw my hat into the ring (ha, riiiing.) This may be an extended AU, but the only thing different is just these two characters. No one else changes biological sex, so due to this some episodes of LB+CN never happen (Evillustrator, Animan, and the like).

Meet Monty, short for Dumont (mountain). He is an accomplished designer, baker, and student with an overwhelming crush on Adelia Agreste, the successful model and business woman who started her own perfume and make-up brands, as well as the only daughter of the great fashion designer Gabriel Agreste. Monty is pretty sure she is out of his league, but with the help of his friends, including his best friend Alya Cesare, he will stop at nothing to win her heart and one day impress his future father-in-law.
Monty enjoys playing video games and becoming Paris' very own "Beetle Mania", a ladybug-inspired superhero with his trusty yo-yo! He puts the MAN in MANIA! Core differences between him and Marinette are his relationships with other core characters (there is no love triangle, so Monty only sees Luka as a close friend), and he has a more realistic view on life, where Marinette is overly optimistic. He is still very kind and will always lend a hand to anyone in need.

Adelia Agreste is a career model, business woman, and student who is under the guidance and care of her father, Gabriel Agreste. While she is blessed with a wealthy life, she wants something her father won't give her: personal agency. She can't go anywhere without Gabriel, Nathalie, or Gorilla knowing and outright following her in some cases. As her alter-ego, Catalyst, she can roam freely and let out her frustrations in a way that isn't destructive (unless she uses Cataclysm). She can even work alongside her very own crush, Beetle Mania, whom she lovingly calls "Bugaboo." She wants so badly to know who he is behind that mask so she may admit her love to both sides of the mysterious gentleman. Core differences between Adelia and Adrien are core relationships with other characters. Chloe will still kind of suck up to her, but both of them have a high respect for one another. Where Adrien is more passive about what goes on in his life, Adelia is more outspoken. Her relationship with Gabriel is far more stressed because she will tell him exactly what she thinks about certain topics of discussion. Shouting matches have been known to occur behind closed doors, whereas in the public they seem like a perfect single-father family. Adelia will also rant to Nathalie and trust her with some of her darkest secrets. She sees Monty as a "very dear friend."
