Oh man I friggin love those urban vinyl figures...I have a couple of american ones which are really tight...but I want some of the others on kidrobot. com..but that shit is EXPENSIVE!
With the shadow I copied the drawing its-self and made it a gradient (black 50% alpha -black 0% alpha) and then used the 'free transform tool to make it looks flat...then changed the scale a little and manipulated the feet part of the shadows a little.....whew! Anyhoo...
Thanks alot for the fav and the comment, yo!

Expensive... hell add another 17.5% tax and you have what we pay in Britain....urggghhhhh!!! I've got one that I managed to snag for 4 quid...never agin unfortunately, can't get it that cheap. I wonder how ya get into making toys like that, it would be cool!!!!
Thanks for the tips on the shadow... may have to attempt this at some point. Used photoshop, right? Though I have a feeling its Illustrator....

Haha, see I learnt Adove first then went to Uni, learned it more and then they offered us Flash lessons, however:
1) They were at a stupid time of the morning..9am, so I was never up for them
2) When I did go, the tutor was shite, and I learnt nothing, cos he was hardly in the room to teach.
Hmm, will have to teach myself!

The tutorials built into flash are prety helpful...they just dont teach you actionscripting
I'm pretty much self taught in flash

The outlining is absolutely perfect. I can tell you've gone through and smoothed out each individual line, and your shading is quite well done too. You spiced the shadow up with the gradient, fading it into the background. Very well down. You have a great eye for detail.

Hahaha. I am good. :-P I guess I spend too much time in Flash, but Kudos, especially on the shading. Hell, I know how time-consuming that can get. But the after-effect shows. Good job. Whee!
