Description
Tess is the 1st mate aboard a little independent outer-rim world traipsing space freighter called, “The Stellar Cow” owned and operated by one Captain Michael Scarron. Tess is a descendant of a genetically modified species with human/feline DNA. Her race is a result of what is now illegal genetic practices of the Federation Government from the previous century. It was an attempt to create super-soldiers and it failed spectacularly. Tess' race often refereed to as the “Felines” tend to be very nurturing and highly adept at farming and wildlife management. They will seldom engage in combat unless it is unavoidable. Which is generally thought to be a good thing, for when pressed to fight, they tend to be very effective and ruthless. Tess is a fourth generation Feline.

Before becoming an Able Spaceman, Tess lost her right arm, eye and ear in an industrial accident. She was a contract worker at the time for the Ellis-Meyer Corporation on some corrupt backwater planet, thus only the minimum corporate insurance was provided. The ceramic/plastic mechanical arm was serviceable and the highest available technology on that world. There was no ability to replace or regrow either her eye or ear. To this date, Tess tends to wear her hair over the right side of her face to hide the more visible scars.
